Join Stars in the Sky
Current Members: There are currently over 350 members.
What we do
It costs five pounds a year to join Stars in the Sky. As a member you will be invited to all events. You will be able to meet people on a one to one basis or in a group. There will be no pressure on you to do anything. Stars in the Sky will support you on your first one to one meeting. Some events will be free some will cost a small amount of money.
Events include:
- Sports activities.
- Club outings.
- Pub nights.
- Pampering days.
- Theatre and music nights.
- Picnics and restaurant meals.
- Parties and balls.
Stars in the Sky do not provide transport except for some of the larger events. We will try and support people to get to events. A popular method is to match members who live in the same area so they can support each other to events. We will provide maps and travel guides for each event.
Who can join?
Stars in the Sky is a dating and friendship service for adults with learning difficulties.
To join you have to:
- Have a learning disability/difficulty.
- Be over the age of 18.
- Live in London.
All adults with a learning difficulty can join. Stars in the Sky aims not to discriminate on:
- Ability.
- Sexuality.
- Faith.
- Race.
- Colour.
- Communication.
